What’s the purpose of the spring?
A
The springs are soldered to the board to serve as convenient places for connecting wires, resistors, and other components.

What to do if the spring is too loose?
A
press the coils together firmly to enable it to hold a wire more tightly.

What to do if spring gets pushed over?
A
light pressure will get it straightened back up
