yet later she asks the spirits to take away her guilt, but these spirits don’t and guilt ends up being her down fall- never truly in control.

Lady Macbeth advises Macbeth to be faithful to Duncan, shows her subversion through manipulation, -Allusion to the serpent which was the root to evil, if Macbeth is to look like the root to evil, the evil itself born from the serpent is Lady Macbeth.
