What is alliteration?
Repetition of consonant sounds at the start of words.
Example: “Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.”
What is a simile?
Comparison using ‘like’ or ‘as.’

Direct comparison (without ‘like’ or ‘as’).
Example: “Time is a thief.”
What is personification?
Giving human traits to non-human things.

What is hyperbole?
Exaggeration for emphasis.
