Metaphor- A statement that is a comparison of two unlike things
ex. she was a cloud

Simile- A comparison of two unlike things using like or as

Alliteration- When a set of words uses the same sound or letter repeatedly

Onomatopoeia- Words sounds
ex. buzz, eek, squeal

Idiom- A set of words that can have more than one meaning behind them
ex. Chip on your shoulder- having a grudge
