What are panpipes?
These were used often in Latin American Music, they consist of hollow pipes of bamboo made to various lengths. A sound is made by blowing the top of the pipes.

The charango is a version of the European mandolin type instrument brought by the Spanish settlers. ‘Charango’ means ‘ Armadillo’ in the Quechua language.

This is a deep Andean drum. It is found in many Latin American pieces. You can hear it in the piece Floreo de llamas below.
