What is your current profession?
I am a professor of Marketing 101 at University of Mariposa
And how long have you had this position?
10 years, and I have had extensive experience dealing with students causing drama in the classroom
How was Jo as a student?
Well, Jo switched from Computer Science into Marketing, which I was slightly perplexed about due to the lack of overlap in those skills. There was clearly a steep learning curve, but he was dedicated and took time to learn the material. I’ve never seen a student engage themselves so intensely, asking thought provoking questions and coming to me during office hours. He improved dramatically.
What did Amaru ask you around mid-terms?
Amaru ask to switch Jo’s study blocks to the afternoom cohert. This wasn’t possible because the block was already full,
and to be completely honest, the paperwork never would have been approved. Amaru was doing really well in class, and I saw no evidence of harassment or distruption in my class, so I didn’t see it as an urgent matter. It wouldn’t be fair for me to impose a schedule change
on Jo, or any other student.
