Gov set out their proposals for law in a maifesto
Public and Media
Often through use of petitions, marches and campaigns. Raise profile of public opinion (Dangerous Dogs Act 1991)
Pressure Groups
Campaign for or against certain issues eg Greenpeace 2.8 million members worldwide.
Cause and interest OR sectional. Interest represents particular section of society. Law Society - solicitor
Lobbying
Occurs when individual or PG tries to persuade MP in HoC or HoL to support particular policy or campaign. Anyone, mostly done by professionals
