Ethics
Ethics are a set of standards or a value system by which human actions are determined to be right or wrong, good or evil
Morals
Morals are defined as conforming to an established set of codes or accepted notions of right or wrong
Values
Values are ideas or notions that and individual holds in high regard and accepts as a set of standards or a value system
Our Ethos
Integrity is the foundation of our conduct; respect for others is fundamental to our character; decisive leadership is crucial to our success. We are a team disciplined, and well prepared, committed to mission accomplishment. We do not waver in our dedication and accountability to our shipmates and families. We are patriots, forged by the Navy’s course values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. In times of war and peace, our actions reflect our proud heritage and tradition.
Declaration of Independence

United States Constitution
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect union, establish justice ensure domestic tranquillity, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this constitution for the United States of America.
Leadership:
The ability to influence, lead, or guide others to accomplish a mission in a manner desired by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Purpose:
Give others a reason for why they should do something
Direction:
Give others the knowledge to complete a task
Motivation:
Gives others the will to do what they are capable of doing
Judgement
The ability to weigh facts and possible solutions on which to base sound decisions. Recognize between right and wrong
Justice
A conscience and impartial adherence to a rule of law to ensure ones actions are rewarded or punished in accordance with what they deserve
Decisiveness
Ability to make decisions promptly and to announce them in a clear, forceful manner
Initiative
Taking action in the absence of orders
Dependability
A trust that is earned by proving whatever is needed, whenever is needed
Tact
The ability to deal with others without creating offense
Integrity
Uprightness of character and soundness of moral principles; includes the qualities of truthfulness and honesty
Endurance
The mental and physical stamina measured by the ability to withstand pain, fatigue, stress, and hardship
Bearing
Create a favorable impression through ones speech, appearance and personal conduct at all times
Unselfishness
Avoidance of providing for one’s own comfort and personal advancement at the expense of others
