What are some negative points about Democratic/Collaborative leadership?
It can consume a large amount of time which can lead to uncertainty of the exact end goal or how it will be achieved.
When the task has been subject to to many possible plans of completion.
What are some positive points about Democratic/Collaborative leadership?
Decision making is shared among the team.
Effective for organisation.
Everyones input is valauble
What are some positive things about Autocratic/Directive leadership?
Individual control over decisions.
Great for time/safety critical tasks
What are the negatives about Autocratic/Directive leadership?
Little input from group members.
Strict obedience is expected.
Can supress moral support.
What are the positives about Laissez faire/Dellagative leadership?
Allows team members to make decisions.
Autonomy for the team.
Trust in team members abilities.
Allows for delegation/leadership opportunites.
What are the negatives on Laissez Faire/Dellagative leadership?
Leaders provide minimal direction.
Unlikely to have much influence.
Hands off approach.
What are three strengths of a leader
Being composed and understanding.
Head strong under pressure.
Having integrity.
What are weakness’s of a leader?
Poor morales (petty, jealous, anger, etc)
Insecurities and a lack of respect for subordinates.
Misusing/abusing or not understanding their own power.
