• RHPA (Regulated Health Professions Act) - creates a framework for regulating healthcare professions in Ontario.
• Works in public interest.

There are 14 in total but no one can do all 14 (max is 13)

What are some exceptions to the RHPA?

• can render first aid in an emergency
• can train under supervision of a professional
• treat a person by spiritual means
• treat a member of your household
• assist a person w/ routine daily living.
• Act does not apply to Aboriginal healers

   - into an artificial opening of the body
4. Performing a procedure on tissue below the dermis
5. Applying a prescribed form of energy (applies only to electromagnetism and sound waves, ionizing radiation is governed by HARP)
