What is the timing of:

If a patient has diabetes mellitus, when might orthodontic treatment be contraindicated?
If the patient has uncontrolled or poorly controlled diabetes.
If it’s well controlled, treat as normal patient.
What risks do tongue piercings present?
- Mucogingival deformity
- Lingual gingival recession of lower incisors
- Significant chipping mandibular posterior teeth
Where are the lips located from the esthetic line?
Lips are 2-3mm behind line.
This is the line from tip of nose to chin.
Where is the lip prominence measured from?
No more than 2 to 3 mm forward of line.
Measured from a vertical line from chin.
What are the signs and symptoms in children that predict TMD problems in adults?
TMJ clicking
Tooth wear
Deep anterior overbite
