Q

Strategies to identify effective intervention components:

A
  1. expert opinion (ask therapists or patients what they think are effective components)
  2. look at common elements of effective interventions
  3. compare effects of interventions with versus without this component
  4. compare components high versus low fidelity (whether the specific treatment technique was carried out the way it was intended to)
  5. conduct microtrial (select one treatment component, and offer only that component during the intervention)
  6. addititive/dismantling studies (randomly assign children to interventiongroups with or without this component)
  7. factorial experiments (you can alter the combinations of components that make up a treatment, and then make comparisons)
