What is the test done for gestational diabetes?
A
Glucose tolerence test = at 26-28wks fast 10hrs, drink 75g glucose drink, blood tests at post 1 and 2 hrs

What are the issues with the glucose tolerance test in WA?
A
- Not done or incomplete
- Limited access to healthcare and processing in regional WA
- Test tubes require processing <6hrs otherwise RBCs metabolise glucose
