Q

What is the hazard Function?

A

T = time to failure of a component

CDF: F_T(t) = probability of a failure before time t P(T < t)

PDF: f_T(t) = Probability density function at time t

CCDF = 1 - F_T(t) –> reliability at time t

h_T(t) = hazard function or failure rate at time t
