What are the CDM Regulations and when did the come into effect?
The Construction Design and Management Regulations which came into effect in 2015.
What are the CDM Regulations for?
They are the main set of UK Regulations for managing health, safety and welfare on construction projects.
Who do the CDM Regulations apply to?
Everyone involved in a construction project, including client, contractors and designers.
What projects do the CDM Regulations apply to?
Applies to all construction projects including new builds, demolitions, refurbishments and maintenance.

What do the Plant and Machinery Regulations 2000 set out?

What are the different classes of plant and machinery?
- Plant used mainly or exclusively in connection with the generation, storage, primary transformation of power or main transmission of power
- Plant used or intended to be used for services to the land and heritages
- Railway and Tramway lines and tracks, lifts/elevators/escalators, cables/wires/conductors, poles/posts/pylons
- Item integral or part of building structure.
