Are private prescriptions repeatable

A

Yes!!! Ensure they meet all the requirements

  • if a private prescriptions says, repeat 3 times = we dispense it 4 times!!!!
  • contraception can be repeat 5 times so dispensed 6 times in 6 months

What happens when a number of repeats is not stated on the prescription

A

It a prescription just says repeat, the total number of repeats we do is 1 so just dispense it twice

Are CD’s repeatable on private RX

A

Schedule 2 and 3 not!
Schedule 4 can be repeated but the first repeat must be within 28 days from the date on the RX, no time frame after that
