Q

Gun take away to outside

A

Make an “L” with your dominant hand and push gun to the left (outside body) while getting out of line of fire. As you grab the weapon, your arm should be fully extended, come underneath like a punch with your non-dominant hand, palm up, and grab the rear sight area of the weapon. Turn the muzzle towards attacker and away from you, and hit them with the front sight before ripping the weapon from them. Draw your weapon.

Q

Gun take away (them) mount

A

Make an “L” and grab weapon with both hands, pulling the weapon down and over your shoulder, driving the muzzle into the ground while your arms are fully extended. Bridge and thrust to that same side while keeping all weight on the muzzle of the gun, do a roll and get into their guard. Pull their gun towards you and rake them with the front sight across their whole body; striking them in the groin with the muzzle. Stand and draw your weapon.

Q

Gun take away (them) in guard

A

As they have weapon pointed at you, redirect the weapon to one side (in this case, left side) using the “L.” At same time, you are using your right hand, turn body and bring right knee and shin across their belt line. Grab the weapon with other hand, underneath at rear sight, use left leg to strike at their pelvis and then face while stripping the gun. Keep muzzle pointed at them as you crab back, drawing your weapon.

Q

Gun retention-them in mount position

A

Grab your weapon and their hand to keep it in holster. If they are using 1 or 2 hands on your gun, use your let arm and go under theirs and come back over, bending your elbow and bringing your hand to your ear like a cell phone. Buck, hip thrust to the left, opposite your weapon; get to your stomach/sprawl or base, angle away from their head; deliver hammer fists to their face or chops to their throat. Rip their hand from your gun, stand and draw.
