  1. ) The vaccine containing dead/ weakened pathogen is injected.

  • If enough people are vaccinated, those who aren’t will be protected as there is no where for the pathogen to be spread. This is known as herd immunity.

- Saw milkamaids protected from smallpox because of cowpox and used cowpox scabs to treat smallpox symptons.
