What is the grammatical interpretation?
The literal meaning in the law
What is the historical interpretation?
Looking at history and why the rule was made in the first place
What is the systematic interpretation?
It looks at how the law works today and how it should be applied in the current system
What is the teleological interpretation?
Focusses on the purpose of law today
In international law, what is a directive law?
A law that has to be applied to the legislation.
The EU telling the Netherlands to make a law in their own legislation
In international law, what is a regulation?
A law that is made by the EU that applies directly for the entire EU
