Q

31BHS – Does instructing out works have any impact on the end date?

A

No, the works were non statutory signage e.g. external signage outside, there was no requirement to complete the work (not on critical path)

As it was not procured by the contractor as the client hadn’t provided their sign off for the signage design yet, it was agreed that this works could be instructed out and carried out by an incumbent contractor separate to the main building contract.

Q

What if your client advised you to issue a cost report every week for WHBG?

A

I would advise them that a weekly cost report is outside of my scope of service set out at appointment, and that additional fee would need to be incurred to facilitate this

Q

If the client advised you to issue a cost report every week for WHBG, what impact would there be on deliverables and what could be done to mitigate this?

A

It would have an affect on carrying out my other outputs for the project e.g. valuations, comp event agreement and early warning input. I would look to mitigate this by (if fee allowed) getting an extra resource to help out with the cost report.
