A

Bias is an inclinationor prejudice for or against one person or group, especially in a way considered to be unfair. Historical sources are, something that tells us about history. Context is The circumstances that form the setting for which a source is written. Reliability is The quality of being trustworthyor of performing consistently well. This may impact the Gospels as if The person to write the last Gospel he would have an advantage as he could copy of all the others.

Can you explain the difference between historical and religious truths

A

A religious truth is something that is said in a holy book e.g. God created the earth which has no real proof. A historical truth is a truth backed up with evidence.

A

The synoptic Gospels-Matthew Mark and an Luke- share a similar perspective on Jesus’ life ministry and teachings. The Gospels share many similarities in wording and structure and because Mark wrote the first Gospel many believe he was used as a source. e.g.the story of the Feeding of the 5000.

A

Luke’s account of Jesus’ birth claimed that when Jesus was born a group of shepherds came to visit he was also born in a manger. Matthew’s account claims Jesus was born in a house and his visitors were three wise men came to visit. Matthew’s’ account focuses on Joseph’s perspective and Luke on Mary’s. They both present different details in characters, complementing each other to form a fuller narrative.

Jesus may have taught parables to teach people morals and spiritual lessons.

A

In the lost son the son asks for his inheritance then goes to a different land squanders his fortune comes back a party is held for his return as his father believed him dead.
In the wedding banquet the father invites guests to his son’s wedding they decline as they feel they are to good for him and some kill the fathers servants he burns their city and murders them, he then tells his servants to go on the street and invite anyone later at the banquet there is a man who is not properly dressed and consequently is killed.
