What are the types of lighting that exist on the MRTT?
Exterior

Within the cockpit lighting system, what are the three types of lighting
panel and instrument integral lighting

What are the exterior lighting systems - provide brief explanation of each.
Strobe lights: each wingtip leading edge and one on tail cone.
Beacons: Used for anti-collision. Located top/bottom fuselage
Wingtip anti-collision lights:
Used for inspecting anti-ice and engines, located both on each side of the fuselage.
Navigation Lights: provides visual indication of position of aircraft
Logo lights: illuminates horizontal stabiliser during t/o, taxi, landing and AAR. Controlled from ARO/MCO console, located one each horizontal stabiliser.
Fixed position rwy lighting:
located on nose gear (upper set of lights)
t/o and taxi lights:
located on the nose gear (bottom set of lights)
landing lights: located each wing root leading edge
in AAR operations what two different types of lights are utilised and provide a brief explanation of each
RV lights:
located top and bottom of fuselage, which operate in both overt and covert modes.
Self illumination lights:
logo lights, horizontal stabiliser lights, inner and outer wing.
