How they were charged
Lindy chamberlain was sentenced life prison for murder and Michael was sentenced 18 months in prison for accessory for murder except he had a suspended charge because someone needed to look after the kids.
How they were proven innocent
After a rock climber fell and a journalist went up there and found azarias matinee jacket, with saliva, the reporter threatens to publish the story unless they let Lindy out of jail and free of charge.
