Meaning of Antagonist and Protagonist?

Antagonist : The enemy of the protagonist.

Protagonist: Main character and hero of the story.

Authors attributes, beliefs, heritage in their writing. They are especially seen in nonfiction.

A written account of another persons life written by someone else.

Meaning of analogy?

Similarity or comparability.

Meaning of character's motivation?

Character's motivation: Why they act, feel, or think in a certain way.

Meaning of central conflict?

Struggle between opposing forces.

The idea of relating the content of the story to your own knowledge / experience.

A scene from an earlier time in the story that interrupts the ongoing story.

To show / indicate beforehand; to give a glimpse of the future.

Descriptive words / phrases that appeal to the reader's 5 senses.

Made up of events that can be divided into rising action, climax, and falling action.
