Q

Liver Blood Xu

Postural dizziness,

numbness tingling limbs, cramps

scanty periods or amenorrhea,

blurred vision, floaters, poor night vision

Dull pale complexion, dry hair and skin, withered and brittle nails

Muscle weakness

feeling low/aimless

A

Liver opens into eyes so if Liv blood deficient eyes will lack nourishment causing all eye issues

Liver controls sinews which will not be nourished properly if blood is deficient leading to numbness, tingling weakness and cramps.

Liver manifests in the nails = brittle and withered nails

Directing vessels Ren Mai and Chong Mai rely on Liv blood, therefore if deficient periods will be scanty or missed.

the ethereal soul (Hun) will not properly be anchored at night leading to insomnia, and they may feel aimless and low due to its capacity for planning being diminished.

Q

Liv Yin Xu (deficient condition)

Insomnia

Dry eyes

restless/irritable

Very dry hair and skin, dull pale complexion

Malar flush - feeling of heat in the PM 5 palm heat, night sweats. thirst with desire to drink small sips

Muscle weakness

Aimlessness, depression

scanty periods or anemorrhoea (or heavy if lots of heat

A

Similar to Liv Bl Xu

Dry eyes - deficient liver yin not nourishing and moistening the eyes

Empty heat agitates the hun which is not rooted due to insufficient yin so it ‘comes and goes’ too much causing anxiety, insomnia, mental restlessness and irritability

All other symps due to yin xu causing empty heat

Plum stone throat

Pre mentrual breast distention

A

Most symps due to Liv qi stagnating in various parts of the body

Nausea vomiting epigastric pain, no appetite due to Liver Qi invading the St and spleen

Menstual symps due to Liver Qi impairing the movement of Blood in the penetrating vessel (chong mai and directing vessel (ren mai) and effecting the uterus.

Emotional symps due to liver failing to ensure the smooth flow of qi in relation to the mind, which impedes the coming and going of the ethereal soul (hun).

The Liver channel runs through the throat which causes plum stone or difficulty swallowing
