A consumer that eats both plants and animals.
omnivore
The imitating of the look of another animal. A nonpoisonous snake will imitate a posonous snake to ttrick and scare away predators.

The path of food from one living thing to another.

The place where an organism lives in an ecosystem.
environment
An ecosystem in which many trees grow. Kentucky has this type of ecosystem.
forest
Any trait that helps a plant or animal survive.
adaptation
To go into a deep, sleeplike state for the winter. Bears do this during the winter.
hibernate
The living and nonliving things that intteract in an environment

An animal that hunts another animal for food
predator
The things, both living and nonliving, that surround a living thing.
habitat
An ecosystem receiving lots of rain and is hot all year. Monkeys and jaguars make their homes here.
rainforest
A living thing that makes its own food (PLANTS).
producer
All the populations of organisms that live in an ecosystem at the same time.
community
