What is a ‘Hazard’?
A
A hazard is where something can cause harm + be dangerous

A
A risk is where there’s a potential/chance for the hazard to cause harm, so risk assessments can be put in place to minimise risks

- Health Hazard:
An incident or event leading to illness - Safety Hazard:
Incidents leading to a personal injury/damage to equipment/premises - Security Hazard:
Intruders, theft of property/info, kidnapping of individuals or individuals leaving w/o consent or supervision

- Health: Hospital, GP surgery
- Care: Residential or individual homes
- Childcare: Nursery, school
- Public: Shopping centre, park
- Transport: Minibus, ambulance

- Biological: Bodily fluids, waste
