Anti corruption ombudsman called Lokpal at center and Lokayukth at States.

Who are the other 8 members
1 50% members should be judicial and they can be former judges of sc or CJ of HC.
2 50% should be from SC,ST,minorities,Women
They should have experince of 25 yrs in anti corruption activities.
How will they be appointed
Lokpal is appointed based on the recommendation of the five-member panel comprising the Prime Minister, the Lok Sabha Speaker, the Leader of the Opposition the largest opposition ,CJI, and eminent jurist appointed by president.
They will be selected form names given by search committee.
Who can not become Loakpal
1 MLA, MP’s who are even convicted for any offence.
2 MLA,MP’s with less than 45 age
3 Panchyats,members of munipality
4 People dismissed form govt services
Term of office
5yrs or till age of 70

1 Can enquirer on any civil servant including PM
2 Can summon or assign any investigation agency on any case
3 Formulate spl courst
4 No transfers in without their permission
What is the case with PM
1 PM is also under the ambit
2 Does not apply if allegation is wrt IR,Space,Atomic energy,Internal security,public order.
3 For imitation at least 2/3 rd support is needed
4 For PM video is tapped and if complaint gets dismissed the tape will not be published.

1 Armed forces
2 PM wrt IR,Space,Atomic energy,Internal security,public order.
