History -
London started as a small town, Romans built it, and Romans got into England thanks to an invasion, at that time Britain was just vast plains. Julius Ceasar invaded it, but he failed to conquer the Britannia natives. 100 years later Romans invaded natives once again, they brought around 40,000 soldiers with war elephants, it was a fight they couldn’t afford to lose and they started building a small town later named Londinium. They had to start by building a bridge because they needed supplies. They chose the location because of river Thames, this bridge could open up just like today’s Tower Bridge, so ships could go through, 20 years later Queen Boudica attacked the Londinium with an army, they it burned to the ground, Romans fought back. Londinium was theirs again, but they had to start over again, but they bounced back quite quickly and Londinium started becoming a City with political, market and law value. It faced lots of problems such as a Great fire and bombarding by Nazis during World war 2.
