Define loss of control
Loss of control is detailed under ss54 and 55 of the coroners and justice act 2009, this is a special and partial defence to murder which will reduce liability to the defence where the killing is as a result of loss of control caused by one of the two qualifying triggers
explain loss of control under s54(2)
there must be a total loss of control which does not need to be sudden but can be a slow burn reaction.
