Becomes pale, hypotensive, poor muscle coordination, change in gait, little hearing ability perception is scattered, no logic, total loss of control, can become combative or agitated.
Why do OCD patients use repetitive behaviors?
The actions are repeated to try to control their intrusive thoughts (obsessions)

Nonbarnituate Anxiolytics (Buspironine)
(Beta-blockers, antihistamines, anticonvulsants)= mood stabalizers
Signs and symptoms of mania
There is little need for sleep clients are easily distracted, behave recklessly, increased energy increased self esteem inappropriately dressed sex with many partners excessive gamling/ shopping easily agitated little sleep needes easily distracted
Characteristics of regression and behaviors
emotionally returning to an earlier time in life when there was far less stress,comonly seen in hospitalized patients

Do not change salt intake, fluid intake, or exercise level
Lithium requires close monitoring
Blood levels can become elevated with dehydration, profuse sweating, and chronic diarrhea which can lead to toxicity
