Lube oil conditioner pump will eventually trip on low tank level if valve doesn’t re-open
What’s the maximum level that can be put into clean oil storage tank when transferring into it?

Who should be contacted prior to transferring oil from outside storage tank to an offsite location?

What’s the purpose of the lube oil system?
Continuously purifies the main turbine and Reactor feed pump turbines’ lube oil reservoirs and provides storage tanks for storing clean and dirty oil.
How does oil get into the lube oil conditioner?
gravity
What’s the purpose of the lube oil transfer pump?
used to transfer oil between storage tanks and reservoirs
What’s the purpose of the vapor extractors?
maintain vacuum in vapor space in reservoirs to prevent buildup of explosive mixture of gases
What will trip the vapor extractors?
sprinkler system or deluge system is initiated
flow switch in system detects this
Where do the vapor extractors exhaust to?
Roof of turbine building
Purpose of the lube oil conditioning pump?
Remove oil from conditioner through polishing filters and return the oil either back to reservoirs or to one of the lube oil storage tanks.
What will trip the lube oil conditioner pump?
tank level too low on clean oil compartment
Will the lube oil conditioner pump auto restart after a trip?
Yes, if hand switch is not in STOP.
How does the F045 valve fail?
closed
what will auto-close the F045 valve?
HI level Inlet compartment on top of the ‘A’ or ‘B’ filtering unit.

Will the F045 valve auto-reopen after an auto close signal?
Yes, when the condition clears
