Describe the De Laval rotary screw pump.
De Laval 31P156, vertical, single stage, positive displacement, rotary screw pump
What does the De Laval rotary screw pump consist of?
A power rotor, two idle rotors, the housing, thrust elements, shaft packing, and piping connections.
How can you prime the De Laval rotary screw pump?
By filling the pump case and as much of the suction line as possible with oil.
What will happen is air is not removed from the De Laval rotary screw pump?
The performance of the pump will be erratic or it will not pump at all.
How long are you going to allow the packing to leak freely?
15 minutes
