What happens in act 1 scene 1 of Macbeth?
The three witches meet they talk of meeting with Macbeth after a battle. They say a strange chant which goes “fair is foul and foul is fair hover through the fog and filthy air”
What happens in act 1 scene 2?
News of Macbeth’s victory in battle spreads to king Duncan who wants to reward Macbeth by making him the new thane of cawdor.

The three witches meet Macbeth on the heath and tell him he will become thane of Cawdor, he will become king and he will become thane of glamis and they tell banqo his child will become king after hearing of this news one of Duncan’s men tells Macbeth he is the new thane of Cawdor.
