A

• BLOOD

• banquo’s ghost- “don’t shake thy gory locks at me”

• “Macbeth hath murdered sleep”

• “Neptune’s oceans” - can’t ask for help from the Christian god due to going against the divine right of kings

• Lady Macbeth sleepwalking - “out damned spot” , “all the perfumes of Arabia” cannot clear the blood off her hands
