Main Rotor Sevo Flashcards
(13 cards)
Where are the 3 located
Mounted on main gearbox and attached to stationary swashplate
Fwd - fwd right(2 oclock), lateral- aft right (5 oclock), aft- aft left(8 oclock
Function
Concerts mechanical input into pressure controlled output main rotor in all modes of flight
What is it powered by
First stage hydraulic system at 3000 psi
2nd stage at 3000 psi
Power piston
Converts hydraulic pressure into mechanical motion
Piston guide
Reduces power surface working area preventing unequal force
Separator
Separates flight stage main rotor servo from second stage main rotor servo
Vent
Prevents vacuum lock on the piston when in motion
Pilot valve
(2)
Allow fluid transfer to control power piston
Bypass. Alve
Prevents hydraulic lock on the sevo when the system is unpressurized
Sloppy link
Allows inital movement of the pilot valve
Follow up arm
Recenter pilot valve
Stationa scissors
Fwd left side MGB attached to stationary swashplate(11 oclock)
Substitutes the need for a fourth main rotor sevo
SERVO OFF switches
Allows the pilots the secure a stage of the servo fwd-1st, Aft-2nd
