OSHITME

  1. Oxygen - 15l NRB maintaining SaO2 >92%
  2. Salbutamol - 5mg nebs (monitor K, ECG)
  3. Hydrocortisone IV 100mg every 8hr/oral prednisolone
  4. Ipratropium 500mcg nebs
  5. MgSO4 IV
  6. Theophylline/aminophylline IV
  7. Escalate care - refer to ICU if not improving

  • Heart disease
  • Goitre
  • Pregnancy problems - pre-eclampsia, birth defects
  • Myxoedema coma - confusion, hypothermia and drowsiness
