Q

When delegating tasks, what should you consider?

A

is task within UAPs range of function,
can it be performed with a predictable outcome,
is it a task or activity that frequently occurs,
is it done with little or no modification from one patient to another,
if the task DOES NOT involve ongoing assessment or interpretation.

THEN think: does the UAP have appropriate knowledge, skills and abilities to accept the delegation, does it fall under agency policies, is appropriate supervision available….if YES proceed with delegation!!
