What is a statutory undertaker?

A

An organisation who is given statutory powers to enter land to lay pipes and alter existing pipes - or other infrastructure.

In this case it was under the Water Industry Act 1991.

A

What are the risks of blue-green algae?

A

If livestock consumes large amounts of water containing these blooms then illness or death can occur. With humans it can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and breathing difficulties.
