What is manifest destiny?
- The u.s was destined to expand its’ boundaries from altantic to pacific ocean
- Spread culture/religion to whom dont have it
- dont use the land or lose the land
- map of all land u.s gained
Who claimed what territory and when?
Britain, Spain, Russia, U.S laid claim to Oregon Territory (present day oregon, washington idaho.)

Many settlers took oregon trail west to oregon so american population grows there
