A

What is involved in the non-immersion cleaning method?

A

Water and chemical mixture and use a cloth to clean the surfaces

How does scrubbing of instruments need to be carried out?

A

Must be done underneath water to not spread any aerosols
With a long handled, soft bristled brush
A metallic brush should never be used for manually cleaning as this could damage the instrument

What is the requirements for manually washing? (temps, sinks, detergents etc)

A

There must be a dedicated sink for the purpose of manually washing
Another separate sink is required for rinsing instruments following cleaning
Standard tap water can be used for manual cleaning
Temp but be between 30-35 degrees
Chemical detergents are used (enzymatic or pH neutral detergent)
