A

There was debate and conflict over marriage. Parliament had presented an English suitor and Mary had rejected. There was also a disagreement between parliament and Mary regarding prince Phillip of Spain. They did marry but an heir was not produced which left the future of England uncertain and providing a ground for instability.

A

There was various inflationary pressure causing instability. The effects of the debasement of the coinage were being felt during Mary’s reign despite her best efforts to reduce this by reminting the coinage.

A

She had done all she could with regards to social problems and financial problems. And a lot of the problems she faced were inherited.

There was only one rebellion, and it was over factors that Mary had no control over.

Successions followed legitimacy as it was the will of the people. Even though Mary’s marriage did not produce an heir, Elizabeth was always a safety net.
