Strengths of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
-It gives managers a clear structure to build into the business, so that all employees can experience motivation and progress at their own pace.
-Once established, it can be ‘set and forget’
Limitations of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
-It assumes all employees are motivated by the same things in the same order.
-It assumes that there is nothing else that motivates employees.
-Employees may be at different stages at different times so it may be difficult to track.
