Absolute Value
The opposite of an integer. The sum of an integer and its additive inverse is zero.
Additive Inverse
A plane in which a horizontal number line and a vertical number line intersect at their zero points. Also called a coordinate plane.
Coordinate Grid
Same thing as coordinate grid.
Coordinate Plane
The process of placing a point on a number line at its proper location.

Integer
An integer that is less then zero
Negative Integer
Two integers are opposite if they are represented on the number line by points that are the same distance from zero. The sum of two opposites are zero.
Opposites
A pair of numbers used to locate a point in the coordinate plane. an ordered pair is written in the form.
Ordered Pair
The point at which the X-Axis and the Y-Axis intersect in a coordinate plane.
Origin
An integer that is greater than zero.
Positive Integer
One of four regions into which the two perpendicular number lines of the coordinate plane separate the plane.
Quadrant
The horizontal number line in a coordinate plate.
X-Axis
The first number of an ordered pair. It corresponds to a number on the X-Axis.
X-Coordinate
The vertical number line in a coordinate plane.
Y-Axis
