Composite Numbers:
A Composite Number can be divided evenly by numbers other than 1 or itself.
Prime Numbers:
any integer other than 0 or ± 1 that is not divisible without remainder by any other integers except ± 1 and ± the integer itself
Polygons:
Polygons are 2-dimensional shapes. They are made of straight lines, and the shape is “closed” (all the lines connect up).
Finding the Perimeter of a square:
multiply l x w
finding the area of a triangle:
multiply b x h and divide by 2
area of squares, parallelograms, and rectangles
multiply base x height (triangle is different)
recognizing angles:
Acute Angle an angle that is less than 90°
Right Angle an angle that is 90° exactly
Obtuse Angle an angle that is greater than 90° but less than 180°
Straight Angle an angle that is 180° exactly
Reflex Angle an angle that is greater than 180°

to bring a number to the nearest 10 or 100
