Answer when one number is multiplied by another
Example:67 x 42 = 2,814 (2,814 is the product)
Product
Answer when one number is divided by another
Example:129/3=43(43 is the quotient
Quotient
The number in the division problem that is divided into the dividend. Example:129/3=43 (129 is the dividend)
Divisor
The number in a division problem that is being divided
Example: 129/3= 43 (129 is the dividend
Dividend
The numbers that you multiply to get the product or multiple
Example: 3 x 4 = 12
Factor
The product or answer to a multiplication problem
Example:list the multiples of 12
12,24,36,48,60,…(do not include zero when listing multiples
Multiple
The SMALLEST multiple two or more numbers have in common
Least common factor
A factor that two or more numbers have in common
Common factor
The LARGEST factor that two or more numbers have in common
Greatest common factor
A number that has ONLY TWO factors -1 and itself
Prime number
It ONLY has ONE factor which it is itself
**The number 1 is NEITHER prime nor composite
A number that has THREE or more factors
Composite number
