Positive integers
Are greater than zero
Negative integers
Are less than zero. A negative integer is always less than a positive integer

Neither positive nor negative.
Adding integers
Same sign (3 + 3=6) (-4 + -3=-7)
Different signs subtract and your answer takes on the sign of longer absolute value
-3+4 = positive 1
Multiplication & division
Do the same thing that you do regularly but the rules below
Same sign = positive
Different signs = negative
4 / -2 + -2
8 / 2=4
8(-3)=-24
-8(-3)=24
Rational number
Definition: it can be turned into fraction
Example 31 = 31/1
Absolute value
the distance from zero
Integer
Definition integer: the set of a whole number, their opposites, and zero.
opposites
Definition opposites: opposites are two numbers that are the same symbol and 0 is it own opposites.
left on the number line
negative
right on the number line
positive
subtract intergers
