When to use Qui + Que
In French, use “qui” to replace the subject of a sentence (the one doing the action), and “que” to replace the direct object (the one receiving the action).
The illness that I had was not fun
La maladie que j’avais n’etait pas amusante.
The DJ they picked is good, therefore I think it will be fun
Le DJ qu’ils ont choisi est bon, donc je pense que ce sera amusant.
The gondola that’s passing is pretty
