For a member discovering an unconscious member or a member suffering a life threatening injury shall immediately press there EAB and contact the ic. They shall provide the following information:

An officer who becomes aware that a member under their supervision is missing shall immediately press there EAB and contact the ic. They shall provide the following information:
L. Last known location or a reference point. U unit the member is working in that Tour. N. Name of affected number

A member who locates a missing member shall immediately press their emergency alert button, and then contact the icy in the following format: Mayday mayday mayday, ladder 43 fast OV to command, May Day. Once responded to, The member transmitting the mayday shall respond in the following format: ladder 43 fast Ov to command mayday, missing member located and provide the following information:

I. Identity of members to determine if It is the members reported missing A. Any imminent conditions that might Affect the missing member e.g. Fire Nearby, out of air. R. Resources needed
A member who becomes lost or trapped shall immediately press there EAB. The lost or trapped member shall contact the ic in the following format: Mayday mayday mayday ladder 133 chauffeur to command Mayday. This member shall not activate their pass alarm until all vital information has been given to the ic. Once acknowledged the member transmitting the mayday shall respond in the following format: ladder 133 chauffeur to command, mayday member trapped or lost and provide the following information:
L. Location if known. If unknown, provide last recognizable reference Point such as, basement oil burner I. Identity and N. number of members Involved A. Any imminent conditions that might Affect trapped members such as Fire nearby, out of air, etc
A member who finds the trapped or lost members shall immediately press there EAB and then contact the ic in the following format: May Day may Day may Day, ladder 105 fast to command, Mayday. After acknowledgement The member transmitting the May day shall respond in the following format: ladder 105 fast to commands, may day, trapped or lost member located and provide the following information:

A. Any imminent conditions that might Effect the trapped/lost members e.g. Fire, out of air
R. Resources needed to reach safety

The acronym for urgent is: Discontinue W I F E 10-70 Anytime It stands for:
- Interior attack discontinued
- Loss of water. Including confirmed burst length
- Non-life-threatening injury. A member a serious injury that is not immediately life threatening.
- Danger of collapse or fear of collapse
- Fire entering an exposure
- 10-70 when first arriving engine is unable to secure a positive water source the engine chauffeur shall immediately press there EAB and contact the Ic. Water may still be available through other means, booster tank, roof tank, however a positive water source has not been attained. This shall also require an urgent message to the borough dispatcher. The icy show announced over the handy talkie when a positive water source has been attained. The icy shall also inform the borough dispatcher that a positive water source has been obtained.
- Anytime a change in conditions will severely impact an operation or the safety of members. The member transmitting the urgent shall provide the following: nature of the problem, location, members/units affected
The member transmitting the urgent for the non-life-threatening injury shall provide the following information:

U. Unit and identity of the injured member
N. Nature and extent of injuries
R. Resources needed
When the first arriving engine company is unable to secure a positive water source, 1070, who shall give the urgent?
The first arriving engine chauffeur shall immediately press there EAB and contact the IC with the following info:

A member transmitting and urgent for a loss of water shall provide the following information:
Nature of the problem, identity of the units with lines affected
A member giving in urgent for any time a change and conditions will severely impact an operation or the safety of members shall provide the following information:
Nature of the problem, location, members/units affected
An officer or safety team member hearing that emergency alert tone followed by a mayday or urgent message and realizing that it is not been acknowledged by the icy, must initiate the following:
Acknowledge signal and ascertain nature.
Promptly relay all information to the ic
