What do light horizontal rods do?
Tension is same at both ends, mass of rod can be ignored.

Acceleration is the same in two objects connected by it when taut.

mass of body is concentrated at centre - the centre of mass

has a centre of mass, rotational forces and air resistance can be ignored.
What is a lamina?
2D shape - thickness can be ignored.
When resolving forces, which angle corresponds to which?
angle of slope equals 180 - angle between object normal and weight.
When something is at the point of tilting, what does this mean?
Reaction/tension at any other support = 0
How can we prove something is tilting?
Reaction/tension will appear negative.
When does reaction force change?
When there is a force not acting parallel to surface.
